Wekits — including our privacy policy. Wekits is a shared shopping list app. We collect only what is necessary to make the app work and never sell or misuse your data.

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on our website
We do not collect financial data — payments handled entirely by Google Play or App Store
We do not share data with data brokers
Web version & cookies
The web version at wekits.app uses localStorage/sessionStorage to maintain your login session only
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) is used for typography — this may log your IP per Google's privacy policy
No advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies are used
Data storage & security
Firebase (Google Cloud) — servers located in Europe
All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256)
Only you and your group members can access your shopping data
Third-party processors: Firebase Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Storage, Crashlytics, App Check (Google LLC); RevenueCat Inc. (transaction ID and subscription status only)
Data retention
Account data retained while your account is active
Purchase history: 6 months, then automatically deleted
Crash logs (Crashlytics): 90 days, then automatically deleted
On account deletion: all personal data permanently deleted within 30 days. Email retained only to prevent abuse (e.g. circumventing free plan limits) and not used for any other purpose.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
Wekits does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies
We do not use your data for targeted advertising
We do not share data with data brokers
You will not be shown an ATT prompt because we do not track
Your rights (GDPR)
Delete your account: open the app → Settings → scroll down → tap "Delete account". All data removed within 30 days.
Request deletion by email: support@wekits.app — processed within 30 days
Request a copy of your personal data
Correct inaccurate data (display name, profile photo)
Restrict or object to processing
Withdraw consent for notifications at any time in device settings
Leave any group and remove your data from it at any time
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority: edpb.europa.eu
Children's privacy
Wekits is not directed at children under 13 years of age
Child accounts within family groups are created and managed by a parent or guardian
Parents have full control — can remove children from groups at any time
Secret items added by adults are not visible to child accounts
Push notifications
Optional — require your explicit permission
Used only for group activity (e.g. "I'm at the store" alerts from group members)
No marketing or promotional notifications
Disable at any time in your device's notification settings
Policy updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time
Significant changes notified via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect
Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy
The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the latest version
